Our philosophy is to provide families with complete transparency on pricing from the moment they consider Avana through the entire length of stay for their loved one.

A note from the owner:

"The many decisions that residents and their family members have to make when searching for, and evaluating, an assisted living home can be highly emotional, stressful, and overwhelming on all members of the family.  (I know this first-hand because my family and I helped my mother find a suitable assisted living home for our father when we had finally decided it was time.) 

​

Aside from the raw emotions associated with this transition, we also experienced the stress, confusion, and frustration trying to understand the true cost of assisted living options.  We experienced the complete lack of pricing transparency among assisted living providers (both big and small).  Pricing is rarely published on anyone's web site, and anytime we did get into pricing discussions with homes, there was always a myriad of fine-print and extra hidden add-on charges.   Families are often quoted a base price within their budget, only to discover a few months later (after moving in) that there are unexpected hidden fees and annual rate hikes.

 

Why does this industry work like this?  It's all about money.  Many assisted living providers are concerned that if they publish a price, they may be "leaving money on the table," so they wait until they can meet the prospective resident and their family so that they can see what their budget is before they start quoting prices.  Once a resident moves in, the new, unexpected fees start to get layered into the monthly bills.

Understanding and evaluating the financial pieces of the transition of a loved one into an assisted living home should not feel like a used car negotiation, so when we created Avana Assisted Living, we developed a full-transparency pricing policy.  

​

We publish our pricing on our web site, and we have done our best to make our pricing structure as simple and transparent as possible.  

​​

  • Each resident pays a single, all-inclusive monthly rate (depending on the selected suite) that covers room/board, professional, round-the-clock licensed caregivers, medicine management, enrichment activities, daily cleaning/laundry, and assistance with activities of daily living.  

​

  • Avana's Price Guarantee:  We will never tack on additional monthly fees or raise your room rates based on the level of care your loved one requires.
